Blughhhhh!!! Bluuuuuuuuuuuugh!!!!!!
I wish there was a -5 Star system! POS! Whoppie doo they are quick to install. Not the 6 foot version that the ends fall off!
Perhaps Chinese paper lanterns would be better built?! LOL @ Kev!
@Paul if you thought tamlites were bad for the ends falling off......U aint seen nothing yet!
Hahaha and I know you're not joking Kev, cause I've seen em in box with and end or two already hanging off!
LOL, can't take much force!

This could've been a half decent fitting! Interesting, albeit incomplete timeline tho. Looks like the Superslim only had a 6 year production run. I always thought it had been around a lot longer given how many were sold/installed! The grey siders were out as early as '66??
SuperSlims were only available for 6 years? Interesting there are LOADS about. I dont class Thorn as Thorn anymore anyway as they were taken over by Zumptobel or whoever they are.
I'm surprised at the Superslims only being around from 1960-66 too, Kev. I've always thought they continued though to around '69! Later models had the same black ballasts as the grey siders!
I wonder tom if the superSlim was the first REASONABLY priced Fluorescent and thats why so many sold?
Didn't notice the timeline on the end of the brochure!

The ballasts in these aren't that bad compared to the fitzgerald HFs I've seen in a shop. One of the fitzy died in 1.5 week, yep 1.5 weeks. These have been going for two years (40k hours). EDIT:17.5k)
Well that's funny cause I've seen the same ballasts in both these new Pop Packs and the Lightpacks, Tridonic PCs.
@MHH, 2 years is NOT 40,000 hours. It's 17,520
Yes the Tridonic PC range is a strange ballast. From the same batch you may get one or 2 that last under a year then none may blow for 5 years, Then they all start blowing within a year. This is the thing i do not like about them.
