And lighter!! Very Happy , I have one of the fabricated ones for the 35/55watt SOX, the L 4045 BX, noisy little thing but a good ballast.

Yep the L4080, came out in the 1960's for the new range of Philips Powerwhite MBF/U, also it's pre 1969 as by then they rebranded their Mercury Lamps to the Dutch Codes HP (MB/U) and HPL-N (MBF/U) with New Phosphor (YVO4)
