Clearance sales are where you find the deals Smile normal price on these is between $5 & $8
@Kev I have that switch start ballast-set from you connected to a 7-foot 100w lamp (without the capacitor) that seems to work perfectly & the ballasts just get warm ...
I've found with these (and capacitor connected) the ballasts get hot .
I really hope to come across one of those rare F108T12 (9' 124w) lamps & test it too {and do a 8' T8 too LOL}

Soon I'll do a test over here, simply pit a 125w lamp in and measure the temperature of the ballast! They are VERY good ballasts I have known fittings with these ballasts to have stuck starters for years and they still work fine!!!

Cool .. maybe also do a test with a 100w lamp too & compare? (maybe even leave the capacitor in)
Those ballasts are cool..I just don't want to risk overheating them...
If I eventually get a 9' lamp that would be awesome to see fire up on switch start!
