These smartphone gadgets are getting out of hand now, take British Gas`s `HIVE`, and that retarded advert!, "cos with Hive you control your heating with your phone"....... , why FFS, does anyone need to control their heating with their phone?

I think it is one if those things that most of us if we had one would perhaps play with for a week and then the novelty would soon wear off and it would end up either not being used or only used in one mode that could probably be acheived with a much cheaper, standard coloured bulb. Oh yes, Hive and that silly song! ROFL

The novelty has already worn off, I got bored after about 20 minutes so it's back in the box at work.I really don't understand that hive thing, who needs to control the heating when they're away and no one's home? It should be switched off.

might be kinda fun for a bit - til the novelty wears off, then its just another thing sitting around.
Probably loaded with spyware too, just like all those 'smart' thermostats and crap.

Last year stores here were selling strings of Christmas lights that you could control with a smartphone. Really expensive too...no string of 25 lights is worth $110 Shocked
