Comments:The floodlight (arrowed) is meant to light the car park below. However, no light actually reaches the car park, all the flood light does is light straight ahead! The flood light appears to be MBFU. This is our local community run Cinema, built in 1939 and nearly closed in 1997 but was saved by volunteers. It now does very well and is well supported. It's nice to see it thriving against all the greedy multiplexes!

As they are working to a limited budget, they have some very nice old battens that have survived in this building including Atlas super slims and Thorn Atlantics!

This is a common practice in large industrial places, however, the ones I have seen are done with large projector floods, (such as a Philips HNF 206), with 1 or 2 KW halide, or 1 KW SON. The ones at ICI on Northwich, (still fitted very high up on roof tops, but not used anymore), were 1 KW MBF.

I reckon this has been a large projector flood in the past, just wrongly replaced with a standard HID flood?
