Comments: | Two 3ft 21w and two 2ft 14w fittings plus an 8w Fitzgerald MLP light our kitchen worktops. This was when I discovered Thorn was going downhill. I fitted these Arrowslim T5s under our kitchen cupboards in 2006 to replace the noisy old Ring 2 footers that had done 20 years service. |

Well, obviously we all think switchstart would have been better but I actually quite like the look of these battens, a good choice for under cabinet lighting I think! They're well made in my opinion and they're obviously doing alright in your kitchen! In the event of a ballast failure you could always convert these to SS with a 13W choke, it work's a treat!

Sorry but the modern Arrowslims are crap! Infact these hurt my eyes!! Do you still have your old Ring lights tom?

Well chaps, touch wood these are still so far so good! We run these around 8-12 hours a day. Relamped September 2015 after one of the original GE Starcoat 14W/840s was approaching EOL. Had a feeling if the lamp was allowed to fail it'd take the ballast with it! Eliot -I've kept a 13w choke and an EFS600P wire ended Pulsestarter handy as a spare but not needed it as yet! Kev - The Ring 2 footers were scrapped off sadly.
