The TV program "Life on Mars" put me off that idea lol

Is this true james that you have one of the multi coloured tubes??

I have one of those Multi-Coloured tubes, I call it my "French" tube, Calcium Tungstate Blue, Halophosphor White and Cadmium Manganous Pyroborate Pink. It was made by(Thorn) Atlas, probably at this plant, in 1952 in readiness for the Coronation!
Got it from on old bloke who used it on his Merry-Go-Round!

I bet those Multi coloured tubes would of took off too if they had sold them?
SuperSix   [Oct 23, 2014 at 07:09 PM]
I bet they'd have been ridiculously expensive to produce though!

The Indian guy reminds me of Raj from The Big Bang Theory! Very Happy , one of the funniest shows on telly at the minute!

I am in love with that multi colour tube, in fact I've nearly shot my phosphor! Embarrassed

PMSL @ Pete! Have to agree tho, those tubes are something of a trouser dampening beauty! Looks like it may even have a clear section which wouldn't surprise me given it's location. We lost a national treasure when Leicester closed! And I second Rich on the Big Bang Theory!
