Comments: | The lamp in it's final stages. The neon has now almost completely escaped from the cracked arc tube, with the final bit of sodium vapour just shimmering away. The significant glow around the lead-in wires is now almost the primary discharge. |

thats pretty cool never seen a SOX Go EOL in real time so to speak did it go out on its own or did you cycle power to it and it failed to restrike? I have always wanted to put a SOX lamp at EOL but not yet leaking, on a US HF IS ballast to see if it would cook the lamp like how they cook EOL tubes...

Of the pics I posted, 1&2 were of the lamp as it started to fail. I turned it off and then it failed to properly strike like in pic 3.
