Those back plates had nasty sharp edges too. Almost guaranteed a plaster was needed after installing!

It's also all too easy to trap the cables between the main body and the base plate when assembling these fittings.

Evil things if you ask me, but not seen so often now! You probably know I've got a bit of a thing against Ring products!

I do now Wink I got it because they are probably one of the cheapest made, worst quality fittings I know, the pain is wafer thin, cheap steel etc. We had a 4ft version when I were a nipper, only lasted about a year before rust bubbled up all over it.
