She came up an absolute treat! Would've been rude to wire this in brown and blue lol. Love those chunky tombstone holders too. One of the few vintage fittings that would suit T8 tubes!

Great job! How did you go about stripping this fitting prior to respraying?

Thanks Andy. Just used alot of hard work, wet and dry sanding until down to metal and smooth.... Typically Tom's Benjamin (which I am also respraying) looks like it may come up better than this!

Top Job! Looks very American! Must be a very early batten type fitting.

We think this could be as early as 1947! Which would explain the mixed make components? This model is listed in the 1953 catalogue too! Starter sockets are BTH Mazdalux and the tombstones are Siemens and GEC, identical designs!

Looks in great condition now.If I remember right these fittings came with a plastic/perspex reflector.

They did indeed Simon. I just plan to polish the reflector up a bit then take a pic of it complete.
