Comments: | This fitting is a late 80's Thorn Formula One F1X/136 surface mount fitting, intended for use in offices. It is a vivatronic start fitting and the writing on the ballast says Thorn but I suspect it is actually a Tridonic or Helvar ballast with Thorn branding on it? |

That is actually a Halver ballast Most of the time they used Atlas i am surprised to see this in here. These are bullet proof fittings!

I thought that was Helvar! I've seen these in some Fitzy's too. Looks like the famous L40A!

I wonder if this was fitted for a reason? This is a slim fitting wonder if the thorn of the time (the classic old faithful like riches 80W MBF ballast) was too fat to fit?

Whats more odd is that all Thorn fluorescent chokes start with GC?, the choke listed for this fitting is a GCS36/40, which resembles the chokes used in the 90s PP range, I can`t quite read the number, but it looks like G 69686.4?
