Comments: | As some of you know, as well as having a lamp and lighting collection, I also have a collection of telephones. The majority of the phones in my collection are part of the GPO 700 series, a range of colourful plastic cased phones introduced in 1959. |

Trimphones rock! Amusing that a large quantity of these are classed as low-level nuclear waste but all the tritium has well decayed by now.
Yep we had a Trimphone! It was the only phone that would fit on the window sill in our hall back in the day! Same colour as the one on the right! That electronic ringtone they had was awesome!

Love the GEC, like something from the war office

Nice collection of phones there, I prefer the 706 to the later 746 as it lacks the coloured dial and seemed better built. I too have a collection of phones from the 50s 60s & 70s including 232s 332s 706s 746s & 1 Trimphone.

LOL whenever I see this thumbnail crop up on the randoms to me, at first glance, particularly the bottom shelf with the Trimphones looks like a display of women's shoes! Must be my eyes where I'm getting old!
It did to me as well!
Yes I too have seen that when I look quickly
No no me too I thought it was shoes when I saw the comments a min ago lol
Lol!
LMFAO!!! I see what you mean! I'd be worried if there was a bloke collecting women's shoes though!
You get blokes dressing up AS women which HAS to be worse
It is!
Oo-er!! Emily Howard off of Little Britain springs to mind....
It's those shoes again! ^^
LMFAO! It does look like a shoe display!

those were the days in Clarks fiddling with the undershelf fluoros

Clarks lol. Anybody remember the machine that you stuck your feet an and it would make all sorts of scary mechanical noises and then measure your feet?
Nice collection of phones, yes I collect as well, perhaps we should have a section devoted to these as well.
@FSB that Clarks shoe size machine was awesome! I wonder if they're still around for measuring kid's feet these days?
