Blimey must be an early bi-pin fitting as the BC fittings shared the same body. Must be a good sixty years old!

Yes - is a bi-pin fitting with push in spring loaded lampholders. They had these out in Malawi too, I remember them in the library and local sports club. Man, this brings back memories! There was one of these on an accesible light switch which I used to piss about with! On, off, on, off, on, off..... Very Happy

I remember a mate at school had a twin 2ft 40w version! This was a snapstart/quickstart setup too. Remember the big 80w Crompton ballast and QS transformer. There was a big Cromption logo embossed in the back of the spine. Tubes were brass capped Mazda universals that were heavily banded.

Love that wedge shape they used to use Cool , looks like the type of lighting you find in stables!
