HO was the Dutch nomenclature for an MA lamp Smile H = Hg/Mercury, O = Ordinary pressure. Then came the HP series, P = High Pressure. Finally HPL, with Luminescent coating.

Ah thanks for that, I was mixing it up with Thorns Linear! Embarrassed , but these have to be one of the best constructed MAs I have seen.
