Comments:61 years old and still going strong in Adelaide, South Australia. Adelaide still has streetlighting that disappeared from other parts of the country decades ago. There is a major road in Adelaide lit almost entirely with these faithful old fittings.

Omg amazing! These look similar to the old things I found in rochdale on google street view! Wonder what the control gear is on these old beauties???

I'd say leak transformer type, look closely at the box on the pole where the cover has fallen off and the ballast is about to fall out.
