This sickens me!
Don't go binning this just yet! Need to finish him off! I'm thinking hooking up to some huge ballast or even the mains!!!
?!?! I thought it was finished off already! Well - you know where it is m8, help yourself!!
And this is one of them tubes out of a cheap under cabinet light? They normally take the HF ballast down with them though when the tube fails!
Ouch my eyes hurt!!!
Yes, that's the tube! @Kev - don't poke yourself in the eye with it!
Everytime I go to the wholesaler, there's someone with one of these eterna tubes that has burnt out. How long has the tube lasted, close9?
Well, I installed the fittings in 2007 and this one which has now used up 2 lamps is on about 16 hours a day, every day.
at 2.5 years each thus 16x365x2.5=14600hours which is not too bad and the ballast sounds quite good.
There are 3 of these in the kitchen and this one, above the kettle gets left on all the time.
Just used another lamp up! Fitting stil works!
