Made in Wandsworth London, factory long since gone, if I remember right
|

classic Tom exact same box in my parents' larder from the days of common power cuts!

Well, this is All Things Lighting! There's always something nice about a burning candle!

My mum always kept a box of these in the house. Sadly, like most British brands, these are now made abroad, Italy I seem to remember.

Ah yes, the energy crisis of the 1970s!, I remember it well, candles at the ready, (the bath full of water), as the drought was also round about the same time, an the awesome experience of walking around your street as a kid, in total darkness!

Ahh before my time Rich! I've seen footage of people shopping under candlelight and with torches! Wouldn't be possible with today's total dependence on the computer!

I remember being driven past Price's factory in Battersea many a time on the way to see my late grandparents. The place was truly massive - 11 acres in total! Went right the way down the side of the street in many different buildings. All the ground floor windows were boarded up, the boards being painted with many different coloured candles, all at about 45-degrees!

I must have been all of 6/7, but I remember it was exciting to me and my sister Sam, but very annoying for mum and dad! , we use to have tea at the table, surrounded with candles on the kitchen sides!, it was all very cosy

Hahaha! Same for me when there were power cuts out in Malawi! The electric supply was just unreliable at times! Very exciting, but annoying for Mum & Dad!
