Our Aldi annoyingly never seems to have lighting stuff in, I do keep checking for anything of interest though. That packaging really has a very 90s look to it...is just missing the "As seen on TV!" logo. From what I've heard though the Muller Licht products aren't actually too bad quality wise. No personal experience there yet though...

The Aldi near me has quite a range of LED lamps. I recently spotted an 8w GLS style lamp there for £6 but resisted buying it as I have a good stock of CFLs.

First R50 style lamp I've ever known to have an SBC cap too!

My Dad rather proudly came home with one of these a year or so back. Totally useless being of the reflector type with with an SBC cap! :doh:
