interesting Paul- basic to say the least! Still better than today's offerings Very Happy

I might convert this to a 4 pin 2D adapter so I can use nicer colour lamps than 2700k with it!

a starter holder professionally installed inside then I guess Very Happy Until now I'd not even spotted that these use the more uncommon 2pin 28w not the 4pin ones Confused

Just swap out the lamp connector and then sit a starter holder inside, maybe with a pulstarter or something similar. I doubt I'll screw it down - it won't be visible or anything.

I think changing the lampholder to a four pin with additional starter is the best idea! Better lamp choice!

Good idea! I think an EFS600P would be ideal in there!

I think the very first 16w adaptors were the same design as this before the more familiar sealed rectangular block format! @Davy; Do you want a slap!? Laughing

Perfect, even down to the ballast diagram!, get hot though these, not as bad as a VS, but still hot.
