Looks a very old shop, I'm guessing it's still operating as there appears to be a light on. Electrical shops are pretty rare these days, there used to be one on every high street, often owned by electricians who would do repairs to small household appliances. The one near me became well known for performing unnecessary repairs without the owners permission and so people just stopped giving him work in the end. We asked him to replace the broken switch on our vacuum cleaner and he also replaced the brush bar, filter and bag without asking and expected to be paid for this work!

I'll be going back! Didn't have time to look about unfortunately but breifly popped in to find the shop floor filled to the ceiling with boxes and bags of everything electrical, and god knows what's out the back!

Sounds like financial restraint is needed! ROFL

Why is there nothing cool like that anywhere near me? Sad

Very interesting! Let us know what you find in there. Smile

That logo is the same as that on the end of the fittings in the bunker! I'd say about the 1950's

Yes must be from the 50s, I have a card somewhere with a similar ad on I must scan and upload.

Don't worry, I wont be making this public yet just in case there is some good stuff there!

Would go take a look if I didn't have folks staying all this week! Unusual for something to turn up that's vaguely local!

Well, there is a chance there could be nothing really there. I saw some GLS lamps kicking around from the 70s out in the shop, but who knows what's out the back. I didn't have time to ask or look around.

It's amazing what can be found in our own towns and cities! There's a small shop near me that's run by a local contractor. He had a BNIB 80s Thorn PP36 on the shelf but refused to sell it for obvious reasons!
