, these are the later bases with the copper wire `trappers`, I thought the early ones with the proper connecting contacts were better. Good score.

Pleased with this, still in the bag, I doubt I'll use it but it's nice to have. My all time favourite photocell!

Hopefully I'll find one of the originals one day!

Yes, the earlier version had much better terminals, the ones on these are quite easy to pull the wires out of, no idea why they felt the need to change it, probably a couple of pence cheaper to make or something stupid like that. Think I have a few of these somewhere, might have to go have a look and dig them out

This was part of that classic era in street lighting, where 3 of the all time bests were used, 1/ Thorns Beta 5, 2/GECs supersox, and 3/RTs P42!
