Fluorescent street lighting was great! I remember seeing many old fluo' lanterns still in use back in the 80s! The car park at Haywards Heath train station still has a couple of these big 5' 80w based lanterns on concrete columns. Wonder if they're still working?

I remember 5 foot 80s still being in use for road lighting in Telford in 1983! Very Happy
