Comments:These are in a hall in an abandoned asylum in Bodmin, Cornwall, very interesting to think how these might work, maybe they work like the Netaline fittings with the resistive wire :)

Wow these are interesting fittings! Often wondered whether such a thing existed!

I would love to look in there before this building is pulled down. I think there is probably going to be a huge gear box in the ceiling space. I might be able to get inside this building!

Doubt there is a gear box Kev, I reckon they have a resistive ballast to each tube, like a Netaline, like Joe says Wink

I'm just glad the fittings aren't vandalized. What beautiful pieces of art. If only someone would save these - all those lamps blinking into life must've been one hell of a show. Yeah, I reckon they have the resistive wire, its the only feasible way.

Those chandeliers are beautiful. I hope these will get saved by someone before the bulldozers come along.

I am going to try to get in here!

sure I saw some info on these on Simon Cornwell's Urbex site in the past... something about remote gear somewhere?....

Anything happened to this place since? Would hate to think these have been trashed..... Bit of a refurb and this could be an awesome wedding/party venue!

Think it's being de asbestosed and then demolished sadly

Only just seen this! What happened to them? I'd like to find out about them if others exist?
Paul   [Sep 14, 2017 at 09:23 AM]
I suspect they were a bespoke commission for the property.
