Wow these are interesting fittings! Often wondered whether such a thing existed!

I would love to look in there before this building is pulled down. I think there is probably going to be a huge gear box in the ceiling space. I might be able to get inside this building!

Doubt there is a gear box Kev, I reckon they have a resistive ballast to each tube, like a Netaline, like Joe says

I'm just glad the fittings aren't vandalized. What beautiful pieces of art. If only someone would save these - all those lamps blinking into life must've been one hell of a show. Yeah, I reckon they have the resistive wire, its the only feasible way.

Those chandeliers are beautiful. I hope these will get saved by someone before the bulldozers come along.

Anything happened to this place since? Would hate to think these have been trashed..... Bit of a refurb and this could be an awesome wedding/party venue!
