I didn't know Labcraft made emergency lights, always associate them with caravan/boat lights.

Yes they're seldom seen. They did some pretty nifty EM lights alongside the more mundane torch bulb units in the generic black and white brick body. They even did fire alarm panels!

im curious, how well does the inverter drive the tube? I wonder if Lab Crafts experience building proper low voltage FL fixtures might have translated into an EM fixture that does not utterly murder the tube!

Not had time to run any tubes in it for very long periods so can't really say.
