Comments: | An Ebay win, I bought this MK fluorescent Shaver light for the bathroom that I am decorating at the moment. I knew I would be getting a good solid light and made sure it was fluorescent as many people get confused between the tungsten strip lights and fluorescent tubes. What was a real surprise was the T12 15w Atlas tube, The picture did not include the tube, what a fantastic surprise! I think I have only seen one of these once before at Cambridge University student accommodation when visiting my brother in 1995, but they were never that common compared to the tungsten strip lights, I guess because of the cost. |

Yes it is a really nice find, the tube is standard white. I can't remember seeing one in the flesh, I probably have but it didn't register, I had no idea of how rare they were until a few years ago.

Wow! Must be the first generation MK Clearshave! They did a few different sizes, from 11w PL up to 3ft I believe! Surprised it came with a T12! I don't think there was much competition as far as fluorescent shaver lights go. There was MK, Thorn and a larger Linolite offering, which I think was based on the 29" 16w T8! Only in more recent years have we seen more PL based units coming onto the scene, and now, sadly. LED!
