Comments:On the M60 motorway heading northbound, just after Stockport, lies this unbroken line of 180W lanterns swirling away into the distance. This is probably the best installation of high wattage mainline SOX I've ever had the pleasure of seeing, and is sure to be swept away before long. Just beautiful. I never imagined the mass cull of SOX on motorways but it's happening! A shame to lose them.

The beautiful sight of a soon to be bygone era! Any SOX lantern still in service in 2018 is a sight to behold!
