We noticed there was negligible difference between a Narva T8 blue and a Thorn T12 blue too. Blue tubes really are a beauty!

I agree on the blue tubes, can't beat a blue fluorescent tube or blue neon tube. Shame blue light has been kind of devalued by cheap and tacky Chinese LED products!
