my favourite size of all the arrow slim fittings.

Great little fittings, Paul and I have one each too. They look especially nice when running a Northlight tube! The 15w model is certainly a rare beast and a latecomer to the range, didn't come out until around 83/84. 13w Minipacks seemed to be the preferred fitting in this size bracket. Does anyone have the full set of Arrowlims from 15w through to 5' 50/58w?

las ones I saw in a house we were doing work on had 15w omega branded tubes in the owner had a spare tube which was an atlas, he had years of service from them to look forward to.

I have 2 of these, one with the diffuser.. a 18w plusluxpack (an arrowslim under a different name?) and the 30w. used to have a SS 50w years ago, but i dont know what happend to that

I had a 58w Arrowslim, picked it up secondhand from the local hardware store who occasionally sold off used fittings. It was an early 80s model with a lightly used crown capped Pluslux 3000 original tube and L shaped diffuser. I originally went for a 5' grey sided PP which had already gone. There was two others, one of which was the original chunky ended 50w LX model with two tone diffuser! Being a silly 12 year old, I preferred the newer looking fitting! There were a couple of AS30s too. All had diffusers and £5 each! Really regret not picking up that 50w LX tho, almost certainly would've had it's original 50wtube back then, Almost as much as I regret letting that AS58 go! Mind you, I did get a PP58 in return. The ultimate Arowslim would have to be the ASQ50 SRS! They were made from 1972 right up to when they changed over to 58w SS so one may just crop up but I have a horrible feeling most were scrapped off after being fitted with 58w tubes over the past 35 years...

I think these were one of the few fittings thorn made a diffuser for that didn't turn yellow after a week of use.

Good point Gav, don't think I've ever seen one of these yellowed up! Worst case of diffuser yellowing I saw was an opal on a 4ft Atlantic, had gone a horrible orange brown colour! Whereas these acrylic Arrowslim diffusers do well after years of service.

yes atlas/thorn were not the best at making uv stabilised diffusers and fitting bowls.
