Fluorescent isn't used architecurally as often as it used to be..... Hate to think these fittings' days are numbered....

The London Underground installs really are works of art! I see many have been converted to T8 now, probably with HF gear! Were these running those Brightsource T12s?

LUs lighting scheme used to be so "art deco", I suspect it was included in the design of the building. I seemed to remember these fittings where used on mass right across the network from lighting the tunnels pedestrian tunnels to ticket halls. I havent a clue who made them but I'd love to know more about these gorgous fittings.

That's a lovely decorative fluorescent intallation. I have noticed lots of Brightsource T12 on the London Undeground. They develop black ends quite quick like the Armourlamps. Many of the old BC fittings like these have been convented to LED :vomit:

Thats a shame Andy. Mind you I found out yesterday with the exception of probibly some wholesaler in the back of beyond, No one in Leeds has ANY T12s. Someone actually asked me what a T12 was!!!! So I can understand the conversion to LED T12 due to the lack of T12 availability or rip out gorgous fittings like these and put some moden T5 stuff in its place.
