A 50W SON ballast or 65W fluorescent ballast is perfect for these lamps! Not a 400W son as I once tried!

What 180w sox Danny??

Yes a 50w SON Ballast wired as a Switchstart Circuit using a 4 to 65w Starter is a Perfect Match for the 60w SLI/H Lamp, you get 85 volts 0.8 amps according to my old AEI Catalogue and Low Pressure Sodium Lamps Technical Booklet the 60w SLI/H Lamp runs at 80 to 100 volts 0.8 to 0.83 amps
