Interesting to see the USA still supply Clear Mercury Lamps, I like the way this is supplied in both a Corrogated Sleeve and Outer Box, have a look on the Lamp stem and you should see a Letter, Number and G if you let me know this I can date the Lamp, also on the Etch there would be either 4 numbers or MM YY or 2 numbers (96 month Date Cose) again if you let me know I can date your Lamp

All the Best

I have a 175w merc lamp very similar to this but have no way of lighting it!

This is the classic US mercury lamp, if they got rid of these it would be like us losing our SOX Surprised

@sailormoon_01_uk
There is an 0204 in the etch (& a 2nd smaller etch with 04020618K) so I'm guessing 6th day of Feb 2004 (18k might be time? - 18:00)

@LinearSLI-H I got a pair of these from eBay, they're somewhat uncommon in stores ... The maunufacture & import of MV ballasts is already banned here, lamps will be banned in 2016

@Kev
I have a fitting with one of these in it..its just sitting on a shelf though.
I saw a SOX fitting on eBay just recently that I woulda bought if the price wasn't so high...
