20 years? ROFL
|

I picked up one of these about a year back out of curiousity. While I wouldn't expect 20 years out them I was actually really surprised at how well put together it was. Decently designed driver, reasonable quality caps and decent soldering. Really hadn't expected that! They were £5 back then though!

I wonder who they've got making them for them? CFLs were always GE, last time I checked there was a lot of 'TCP' lamps alongside their own branded stuff though!

I bet these are dim as piss!

Gotta love your phrases Kev!

Light output from mine wasn't too bad, pretty much on par with an average 40W lamp to be honest. The thing I did have a gripe with was that the colour temperature was a fair ways from the quoted 2700K, and I reckon was north of 3000K. Had a distinctly 535 tone to it.

Keep it in the box for 19 years, then light it up the year after, that guarantees its life then!
