Sylvania 125w T12 Cool White

1 of 5 8ft's I found today. Was EOL but I shorted the dead end and it works great now.

Comments:After shorting the dead end, a bit of protesting from the ballast and an orange flash from one end, this started up great with no flicker. Neither end looks EOL and I don't think the open-circuited end was a result of EOL.

WOW never seen an 8 foot with quickstart written on it before! This is a RARE one. Im guessing THORN made in the UK? Either that or GB made GE?

Kev, both of the Sylvania's have smooth-edged caps with the circular discs if that helps, unlike the stepped Philips type or oval insulators like Thorn.

Going on the description it sounds like this has the same caps as the 70s Atlas 8' tubes Kev! Like the ones on the 85w Kolor-rites! The cap that for some reason was only used on 8 footers, unless the tube was Endura!

The caps on this are the same as these ones . Both electrodes are broken in this (not EOL though) but it works ok by linking the pins and using an electronic starter.
