Comments:Bought these today for my over-workbench lights. The ballasts are Rapid Start from the USA. I have quite a few of these and they are nice tubes, not ALTO's either. They seem to have been made for export only as they also don't have the Hg logo but they do have the logos for the european market.

I wish they would start sending these over here! Homebase sell the halo cool white 33 versions for their usual inflated price!

These were A$6.97 each (retail) which works out to around £4.52 each. The halo 33's have been banned here from importation which is why the colour 840's are sold instead. T12's here are only available in 840 now and only 20w & 40w. No 65w's or above anymore sadly. Of course there are a few locally made Daylights around but they are getting very rare as all lamps stopped being made here 10 years ago. Luckily I can import halo warm white T12's from the USA and UK and customs don't care.

Are these actually good tubes with a good live Al?

I haven't been using them long but they seem very good so far. Unlike the Poland-made versions sold here before these, they don't differ in tint between batches. I have around 20 now from different batches and they all look the same when running.
