Comments:Had this tube since the mid 80s when it was thrown out with rubbish at my Local Sainsbury's that was built in the summer of 1983. That would correspond with the date code of L2, November 1982? I had forgotten I still had this tube until I found it in the roof space of the old outhouse, been there for probably 20 years so filthy! The etch was completely invisible until I did the old pencil trick!

I never knew 6 footers had been made in Holland that early?! Practically all Philips T12s were UK made throughout the 80s with the odd 2, 4 or 5 footer making it over from Holland or France!

The phosphor has darkend nicely, and speaking of super markets, I was in Morrisons yesterday, and all their recessed tubes in the entire building, are now LED ones!, although to their credit, it took me a while to notice.

I did wonder why it had been disposed of but not that unusual really to find perfectly good lighting consigned to the dump truck! Think it's time to power this tube up!

Too right! Was probably binned off from a Triphosphor 83 upgrade!
