You guys are lucky having 6' as a common size because its a nice length. There's a big gap in sizes when you go right from 4' to 8' with the common stuff.
I wish 5', 6', and 7' were all atleast somewhat common here...

I have one of those twin strip light my self. I have also have plans to convert one of my 1960s strip light to switch start

@funkylamp: Conversion to switch start would be cool. I simply built myself a 6' twin switch start Laughing

Now that I know 7' Slimlines also exist, I really want a few of those lamps and a double fitting as well. .ofcourse finding either of those would be like finding a needle in a haystack...
