Very well may have been that way, so the tubes achieve full output quicker? That switch looks dodgy!

Really should be a 3' 30w choke running a pair of 15s but running at 20w won't come to any harm! Thorn spec'd 20w chokes for single 15w circuits years ago! Nice old SB set tho!
