Although they're terribly innefecient and very yellow, the architectural lamps are still a clever design, even all these years later! Yes I agree! The capless design looks great and they still look modern! Only downside is as you say Tom, the very poor efficacy.

Yes, Crompton used to produce quite a few varieties of these, they still produce the old round peg versions! The clear ones look good, especially when dimmed!

Has anyone ever seen the semi-circle and right angled versions?

Thats quite a good out put for GLS, looks fluorescent.
