Very nice tubes, probably THE best of the bunch. I also thought this was one of my pictures for a second there too! Laughing

I'll second Mark on the Polish and Dutch Philips mini T5s being the top of the crop with Italian Osrams right below! Then it's Erlangen Sylvanias!

Thanks guys! Yeah they are! I came across Chinese Philips 13W T5s a couple of years ago, in fact I have one in retail packaging but it seems the Polish ones are still the standard! Completely agree Tom! GE's Specfills also seem to do fairly well!

LOL I'm still learning with my camera! Razz

Are the GE Specfils Hungarian made?
SuperSix   [Jul 02, 2012 at 08:38 PM]
No, I'm afraid they're Chinese!

Do you know where the Sylvania T5s with the origin code SP are made? Confused

I'd guess Spain or Brazil (I don't know the codes at all or whether they relate to any standard country codes), it couldn't be the Canary Islands? Confused

Could it be singapore? (SP) as caps on some of these (Sylvania) lamps match the Chinese type. Philipses above are June 2009. They have dispensed with alphanumeric codes on T5s and simply print a calendar date. In agreement with you all these are first class lamps. Only gripe is from a collector's point of view in that the etches rub off with frightful ease - especially on lamps that have been used for a while and in damp conditions.
