Comments: | I thought I'd try out this new test card that Paul's designed tonight with various light sources. It's really great, like here I've got a cheap 70W SON lamp on double overdrive and you can clearly see the greatly improved colour rendering. |

LOL what is this being overdriven by? 150w ballast? I remember trying a Philips 150w SON-E on a 250w MBF ballast many moons ago. That was a bright little bugger too!

Two 70W ballasts in parallel! It couldn't handle it though, lamp voltage rose too high and the arc extinguished, then a glow discharge struck inside the thermal cut out so the extreme heat must have vapourised something!
