Yeah it does, looks completely black when unit too, very much like a tube post cold cathode operation. Wasn't expecting it to work! Starter switch is of course in as new condition with a completely clear glow bottle, doubt it's ever even closed once!

Some people just think a starter is a starter! FFS! I once picked up a brand new Thorn LU twin 36w Weatherpack that had 155/801s!

You'd expect Thorn to know better! That's seems to be the general idea with most people now 'it's just a starter'! Long gone are the days when a wide range was available very closely matched to the lamps!
