Fluorescent lanterns look so cool, these are well looked after, going on how clean the bowls are.

Wish we still had lanterns like this over here. They all disappeared late 80's early 90's in Bedfordshire.

Yep would be great to see fluo lanterns like this again! We are now having a few PL-L springing up which would be better with magnetic gear!

Some of the power authorities in Oz are playing around with T5 and PLC/PLT type lamps, all with HF gear. I can guarantee they won't last 40 years like these old girls!
