Oh wow! Awesomely spotted Kev!! Such a shame this has been flattened! Not been over this way for a while but remember seeing signs for a new industrial called something like Illuma Park.

What was the reason this shut down?

Simply because it's cheaper to produce lamps overseas Liam! Sad fact of business economics lead to the loss of this iconic factory! All time greats such as the 2D and the majority of Thorn tubes were all made here!

Note also, (with GE being American), they have put USA under the GE badge on the tall building!
