| Comments: | A very British lamp, Osram's Accent introduced in 1971 was the answer to the similarly shaped lamps first developed by Westinghouse in the USA some years earlier - but with a still more squared bulb shape. These were outstandingly popular in Britain during the 1970s and could be found overall, thanks to the reduced glare and softer light than traditional incandescents. Hi James, i have some of these Woolworth's branded and i agree its not as glarey as the normal incandescent howether no were sells them and im not shore if they can make this type in Rough Service?

A good 1970,s lamp and from what I remember of them they had a much better life than a standard gls lamp,I remember seeing well used sagged filaments burning looking through the thin opal coating they used

The lamps of early childhood memories for me! There was one in my parent's room when I was little and I'm sure we had one of the Rose Pinks and Tangerine colours at one point!
