I bet the local school science/physics classes did field trips to this place! That would have been one AWESOME school outing! Razz

Rather sadly I believe it's being demolished. Such a shame. I've driven past it whilst it was empty. Was a really depressing sight! Crying or Very sad

So it is still up at the minute abandon? Urbex? Where do Thorn make all their junk now?

I do often wish no one bought the lighting division and it had of died with the rest of the company. What actually happened to Thorn? I heard they found a private buyer for the company but then I don't know what happened. Technically part of GEC still lives on with the company Telent Ltd which formed from the Marconi Corp plc which was GEC Razz I don't know if a similar thing happened with Thorn?
