I have never seen an OSRAM GEC BC tube with this style of end caps.

Well I can't afford one at the moment but in the future I might consider offering £40 although after seeing that one on ebay go for a lot more I'm not sure if this friend of yours would accept?

Ah well, I'll leave it for now, thanks anyway! This looks like a later Osram-GEC tube, the earlier ones had a different GLS style cap on.

well I chect the 1975 osram catolog and the end caps on the BC tubes and the cap are like GLS ones

Yeah this will probably be a later one, when GEC bought the 10W SOX lamps out they used the same cap they were using on BC fluorescents at the time.
