Comments:This is a very cheap LED lighting effect that I use along with other lights for late night relaxation (with a glass of whiskey or cup of tea depending on the night!). Cost less than £10 on Ebay, came fitted with a 13amp plug and flex. As expected it contained a dodgy little electronic power supply, the knot in the flex is supposedly someones idea of a cord grip and the plug was fitted with a 13 amp fuse instead of a 3 amp. I wouldn't trust the supplied fuse anyway, looks very poor quality! So I removed all the electronics and use it with the power supply shown and a series resistor and also disconnected the motor as I wanted a static effect. Does produce a very nice effect though so was worth the trouble! I have another bought as a Christmas present that will receive the same treatment, would not be happy giving it to someone in its original state.

Certainly is powerful!, I love the old `knot` in the wire thing! Laughing , I found a few thing at work like this!

Looks a bit like a fixed version of those ES/BC capped lamps with a rotating prism in them. Good work, there no way that thin flimsy flex would take 13A!

It is pretty powerful, though the camera has amped it up a fair bit. Yeah the prism does rotate which would be great for a dance floor but I disconnected the motor for the way I use it. Very vivid colours!

I've got something similar with an ES cap called a Moon bulb with the same lense that rotates. Was a freebie from a trade show!
