These must have been the top of the range emergency lights to be put in an Escort.

Its a shame mine didnt work. The batteries leaked and destroyed the control unit and badly corroded the case.

it was sitting in a box filled with other emergency lights. the box said the word dead on it. the fitting had a puddle of bright green liquid inside which looked like it was coming from the batteries

If you still have the board I could take a look at it. They are usually simple enough circuits, should be easy enough to repair. Even if the tracks have been eaten through on the PCB, point to point wiring should do. Only issue would likely be if any transformers/inductors were open circuit.
