Looks like they've only just been installed!

Bloody things look mint! Must save these. I wouldnt mind joining you on this urbex joe?
Paul   [Jun 17, 2012 at 01:43 PM]
Wow! Mint! Just for the record, ATL can't condone any "rescuing" of fittings without permission from the owners. Wink
Joe   [Jun 17, 2012 at 03:02 PM]
yep no probs, we always get permission from the land owner first, and if they refuse we come back after dark and take them anyway :woohoo:

bristol kev Wink

As an individual, I personally would take the approach you do. It would be a blasphemy if these bit the dust! Wink
Dave   [Jun 17, 2012 at 03:43 PM]
Yeah, i'd get these too. they're in too good a condition to let them go. all you'd need is to wipe em over with braso and they'd look brand new.
Joe   [Jun 17, 2012 at 03:45 PM]
i will try Very Happy
Tom   [Jun 17, 2012 at 03:46 PM]
Wouldn't be surprised if these still have Atlas tubes in!
Paul   [Jun 17, 2012 at 03:47 PM]
Don't use Brasso - Car paint renovator is best IMHO
Good luck Joe - just hope you don't get caught! Tom got caught leaping over a fence once with a PP in his hands LOL. I hate the dog in a manger attitude of people that allow these beauties go to the crusher instead of letting you have them.
There was an old MOD ammunitions store site near where I used to live (had been converted to an industrial estate) - it was redeveloped and had no amount of Atlas, Thorn and Tamlite antiques. Sods wouldn't let me have anything! Crying or Very sad
Joe   [Jun 17, 2012 at 03:55 PM]
im just abit wary of this particular site as the security guards have dogs too, still it will be good exercise running from a german sheperd with 3 light fittings under each arm....

When some Maisonnettes were going to be demolished, i asked teh contractors if they would allow me to have the recessed Falks Bulkheads. the B******* looked at me as though i was mentally dead or something and then laughed in my face then briskly said no and stormed off Mad so much for that. then he got an absolute lecture from my Dad about the way he treated me. still didnt get them, even though i offered money too. The thing is, no one really cares about lights, other than us, thats why its so hard to get them nowadays, add to that the heath and safety and WEEE regs malarky, and that makes it near impossible to get them, plus the fact they get weighed in and the contractors get money for them.
Joe   [Jun 17, 2012 at 04:02 PM]
yes its VERY frustraiting when that sort of thing happens, thats why i always get there before the demo crews or contractors get there and have first pick :woohoo:
Dave   [Jun 17, 2012 at 04:06 PM]
I never had the balls to do it though. theres a derelict army camp called wolverly camp. apparently it still has some lovey metal switches in there made of cast iron, i must try and save them.
Andy   [Jun 17, 2012 at 04:11 PM]
Hope you managed to get these - they are in excellent condition for all these years!
Paul   [Dec 08, 2014 at 05:58 PM]
Have these been saved yet?
amtrakuk   [Dec 08, 2014 at 10:58 PM]
