Class oldie, theres an abandoned shop front sign in Northwich where my bank is, it has about 6 of something similar to this in it!, but to get them you would have to have fairly big nadds ROFL , and pose as a sparkie, as their in a shopping center full of cameras!

A hi vis jacket and toolbelt wouldn't look suspicious I've also seen battens like this with oval spring loaded lamp-holders, not squarish like above, a courtney pope offering i'd say

The fitting that I'm familier with that is very similar to this has the oval lampholders, there was a 5ft in my dads kitchen in his house that was built in the late 60s and it looked to have always been there. I have a feeling the starter may have been under the tube, protuding from the cover plate, but been 20years since I last saw it.

Probably had the reverse spine setup too, I've seen loads of the oval lampholder ones from 1964 still working in a school
